A seminar for Virginia students and families

From Tina: There are a couple of great events coming up in the next 2 months for students with disabilities and their families here in Virginia. One I listed in the post below. Another is in Richmond on November 6th.

"College 4 U will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 10 AM-2 PM at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Parham Road Campus, 1651 East Parham Road in
Richmond, VA. "

"This annual event provides information for college bound students with disabilities and their parents/families."

  1. We've got a couple of good friends in Virginia. One family just moved to Richmond (Gussie ... if you're interested) and the other family lives on an amazing farm in very south central Virginia (the Rocky Creek Scotties). Both families are "into" education. We'll pass this word on and maybe they'll know someone who could benefit.

  2. Hi: We are the "family in Richmond" that Jake and Fergi mentioned. We are "into" education in a big way, my husband has taught at the University level for 35 years now, and is currently at the University of Richmond. I don't know where you are coming from, but if you decide to attend this seminar and need any help, let us know. Contact us at gowithgus(dot)blogspot(dt)com and click on the link to gus' email.

  3. Hi,

We are the "family in south central Virginia". My husband is a middle school teacher with several advanced degrees so I would say we are "into" education. We're fairly far away from Richmond - about 300 miles or so. We'll be following along to see how you do.
